It was 5 minutes!! They let me know a possible issue and I made some adjustments and now, in the words of the great inventor Wallace, "Everything is under control!".Simply download, open disk image, and drag to the Applications folder. I emailed Automounter support and they replied in 5 minutes! Admittedely it was about midnight here in the UK and, them being in NZ, it was probably getting close to knock-off time but still. In addition, after the recent Mojave update, my NFS shares all broke. In addition my mounts are just a lot happier, I have not experienced any of the same issues I did with my homebrew Applescript. I eventually found Automounter, after a pretty deep and intensive session of Google-fu late one night, and I'm happy to report it made everything so much simpler. Use autofs on Mac OS X to mount network shares automatically during access. Even after all this it was buggy, I'd be constantly having to switch between SMB and NFS due to glitchiness, slowdowns, and random disconnects. This meant having to learn the basics of the language as well as some pretty technical stuff I didn't want to know in the first place. I resorted to writing my own Applescript in order to do it. I hoped to also use it to mount a few NFS shares, but unfortunately the lack of available options prevents me from doing that. I purchased this primarily to auto-mount SMB shares from my NAS, and it does a good job of that. Very helpful - but needs some more options, especially for NFS
